EDIT: Seriously people, stop trying to correct me on this one. I've studied angels and demons intensely for years, so I know pretty much all the things you're telling me. I was just having fun with this.
Top row: The Seven Archangels Bottom row: The Seven Princes of Hell
There's different versions of who the archangels are, but I just went with the version in my archangel book. Some believe that Gabriel is a woman, and I went with it for the hell of it.
I know Lucifer and Satan are often said to be the same person, but according to some demonology they are different demons.
And all other questions you may have about why I drew them this way can be answered with a simple "Because I wanted to"
hi i'm making a trading card game and i was wondering if i could use this drawing for a card i will give credit where it is deserved and plus its a easy way to spread your art plus you can still use them for your project the card game is called Paragon Galaxy the concept is a galaxy built where all these worlds exist for the perfect galaxy . The galaxy will grow and grow until this perfection is formed
I probably don't know as much about angels and demons as you, but from what I do know a lot of these designs you went with "because you wanted to" actually make sense in some way. They all look like separate beings, which is also a success because many angels and demons in the iconography(that I am aware of) look the same/boring. The details are very well done, and I want to borrow (steal) Mammon's coat. :b
It is sort of on purpose. El means 'god' in ancient hebrew. Most of the Angel's names that are given are "Something of god" (some later ones probably just followed the pattern)
Finally, something that I can refer to! I'm writing a story that involves both the Princes of Hell and Archangels of Heaven and it took me months to figure out wha set of Archangels I was supposed to use. I did get all the angels right, but I didn't know who was supposed to be aligned with whom. Once again, humon the greatest.
