American in Berlin after WW1 by humon American in Berlin after WW1 by humon
German money was practically worthless after World War 1, so people in Berlin turned to prostitution to get their hands on Japanese and especially American money. People of both genders and from all layers of society did this, even high ranking military people all the way up to generals. This resulted in Berlin becoming a favorite place for foreigners to try out their own sexualities because you could get anything you wanted for 1 dollar, and no one had to know what you had been up to in Berlin.

Especially the Americans enjoyed getting military men to do all sorts of things, just for the hell of it, and that lead to these two characters who have been swimming around in my head for about two years now, yet don't have names. The American basically becomes the German general's sugar daddy.

Oh my ... even a battle-hardened veteran, whether still in his prime or not, dealing with PTSD, would be forced to ... that's just horrible.

Oh, Berlin. I'm so sorry this ever had to happen to you.

I admire Germany, despite all her faults and mistakes (it happens when you hang around humans for long enough), but I still love her and would love to go there one day. This makes my heart feel ill, but I'd still like to thank you for bringing this to light, and so beautifully. Well done, my friend.

Umm, that's quite a generalization. I'm not American, but I'v lived there. Most of them are nice and well-mannered. The rude ones are ones you'll ind everywhere in the world. Except for the rednecks, zealots, etc, of course.
The only reason why these people of America's society is so well-known is because they are more used in the media. Most of the poeple in America are just normal, day-to-day people.
But I admit, America's idiocy infuriates me too.

Hm, I think every country has a relatively equal mount of unsavory characters, but I guess viewing from another country those of America that are prominent but may be deemed not the best people can put a label on the country as a whole. I know a lot of American stereotypes, being an American myself (and pretty proud), but it's different across the board. I live in a pretty socially liberal area on the coast (we might be labeled as surfers and stoners), and I hold some stereotype about the midwest being red-necked and conservative, but I do not peg everyone there as being close-minded or gun happy, because there will always be exceptions.
You can definitely have valid points to make about the faults in our government or perhaps even celebrities (such as Tom Cruise, I suppose), but a country is not just homogenous mush. No place for hate, man! ;]

:jawdrop: du-ude.....3 things: i'm stoned and reading this, i am dyslexic beyond belief AND i-i-i'm sorry i have such hatred toward a country i have never visited. and if i could try and deplete the amount o' hate i get from people i will say this: i was raised in a home/small town in Ireland where we do not like America at all, i guess it rubbed off on me.

Haha, it's okay, man.
I hope my long-ass (they tend to come out that way most of the time) message wasn't too strenuous to read (pot does have a way of making it more difficult) :]

You may not like America, but pretty much all i know about Ireland is Bloody Sunday and U2 (not much to make an opinion on), so that might say something about us not learning much about the current states of any country not immediately important to America or in world-debilitating crises (Greece, Middle East...).

Have a good day/night/whatever it is in your time zone.

Well happy Thanksgiving to you then! (an American holiday to excuse everyone about eating a lot, which is really supposed to celebrate the colonial white guys taking advantage of the nice Natives only to double cross them afterwards :].)
