Poor bike. It had many good years ahead of it.

I'd take it. Nishiki's are $100+ bikes you know.

This actually makes me want to cry. I used to have a bike like this until the tube blew out in the front tire and threw me over the handle bars, I'm still confused about how it happened though because I was riding up a hill at the time, I loved that bike and wanted to replace the tube so I could ride it again but my mother was never good with keeping promises and I waited for two years for a new tube to make an appearance until we finally moved across the bloody country a I had to leave it behind. As I think about it now my poor old bike is probably still sitting in our old yard with weeds growing up around and trough it like a trellis and the front wheel removed waiting for its new tube, that will never come.

Rubber dry rots. The pressure put on the front wheel as you leaned over the front going uphill is what caused it.  A new tube is only $15/$20.

It's the first time in my life that I would say that about pictures of a bike but...
it's so artistic!
I really like the way you portrayed it like a corpse and your pictures are amazing!
Keep going!

I don't know why...but the first thing I saw when looking at this, and I can't shake it, is how the mangled frame and back wheel spell "NO".

If I may ask, what program did you piece together this image with? I have a collection of photos that I'm looking to put together, but I have no idea how or what to use.

corpse? poor bike? what's wrong with it? it look's almost brand new almost without one scratch. only thing missing is front wheel and you probably just took it off to replace a flat tire.

...eh, it still does. It just needs a new front wheel, a good oiling and possible balancing the back wheel and adjusting the chain, that's all.

I've restored bikes that were in worse shape than this one, including my favourite, which was just a rusty frame. :/
