Don't Panic by humon Don't Panic by humon
You can read all the comics here [link]

Everybody but Japan seem to be panicking about the earthquake. I was watching the news and the anchorman asked, "So how are the Japanese people and government taking it? Has there been any panic or chaos?" two which the reporter answered, ".....No. Not really" :XD:

I was actually in Japan when it happened (I lived there for five years) and this is pretty accurate. every one was sad about how all those people died over the tsunami but I've been told that, at most, only five people died of the earthquake. In short most people ignored the earth quake all together because we really do have about two or three earthquakes everyday ah well just goes with the country I suppose, wonderful place. (everything in my house that was on a shelf fell on the *sigh*)

Typical, not too long ago there was an earthquake in China (no tsunamis, though) which was stronger than the earthquake in Japan.
Anyway, love their faces!

Huh, I heard the opposite: since they are so big, people would assume theycould take care of themselves and not donate.

I found this under "The Anchorman" the film
Otterlore Featured By Owner Jul 1, 2012  Hobbyist General Artist
...And then we didn't listen to them and ignored all of those other countries. People donated and marked the donations as going to Japan.. and then the Japanese all cleaned it up mostly themselves.
The irony.

Not sure if America is buff or fat... For accuracy's sake, America should probably should be fat though.

America is based on the stereotype of the gym addicted guys that tan heavily and bleach tehir hairs.

I was watching "Eye-Witness: Disaster in Japan" and there was this one clip where a father and his five year old daughter were watching the Tsunami take over their street and the dad asked the little girl "Do you think the government will pay for this?" and the little girl answered, all straight-forward "No way!" It was hillarious! There was one person panicking in Japan. He was standing on the roof of his house and watching as his car got swept away. The speakers on his friend's camcorder kinda broke from him going "Nooooooo my caaaaarrrr!!! D8"

I wish I could re-find it on youtube or something it was really good. It covered everything from random Americans and Military kids to a guy asking to himself "have you ever seen anything so terrible" only to be interjected by a little old lady saying "Yes. 1945." to the Emperor himself. It was great.

so true, me and a friend of mine were just talking about this the other day.

The Japanese are resilient, they can make it through :)

It's good to know that Japan at least knows what to do to rebuild. It still sucks that the earthquake was so bad... Especially a lot of the aftermath...

Funny way to talk about a serious subject. Perfect! ^^ Will make me giggle forever.

Ha! Ha! Ha! ^ ^ That is so funny as well as true. People overeat so much to the point they become irrational. But sadly it can't be help much. A lot or some people do not think as critically as they should due to the fact they either were never taught how think critically or they just didn't pay attention/care. Ad then there is the news media (or most of it, except maybe the Today Show) that from what I heard have dramatized the situation. The only way we can solve this problem is through education mix with consideration. Also, in a way I can imagine Japan having earthquakes every year (I think I read in one website that Hokkaido get earthquakes every year but they usually are not that big) It's like over here in Virginia where I live where we too get earthquakes every year but they are so small for us to notice.

By the way, what does Japan mean by helping the smaller islands? Does he mean the island nations that are currently in need of help?
MIZZKIE Featured By Owner Jul 29, 2011  Hobbyist General Artist
No, we get them every DAY (it says so in the comic as well). Most of them are too small to notice, and every now and then, we can feel them.
The other day, we got a spiral motion earthquake. It was creepy.
Kaonashi-Nanashi Featured By Owner Dec 28, 2011  Hobbyist Writer
Well, the entire world has earthquakes every day. Most of them are too small to notice. But the tectonic plates are constantly moving, so there are always earthquakes. Japan just happens to be sitting on a very active fault line.

Spiral motion quake? Interesting.
Aquasakura Featured By Owner Aug 1, 2011  Student General Artist
I forgotten about that comment I made months ago. Well I am happy to respond. ^_^

That was in a way what I was saying. But then I really didn't think both Honshu and Hokkaido get them 365 days a year so I guess you can I was close into correctly guessing that fact. I actually did hear this fact from a fan game made in your country. You can see it hear if you want: [link] The name of the game is Hetahazard and it's a fan game of a satire story called Hetalia: Axis Powers by Hidekaz Himaruya. By the way, does this fact implies to Okinawa and some of the other islands that make up the State of Japan or is it just the mainland and Hokkaido? I would guess it would be all of the islands since they are close enough to go through these natural events.

Also, I never heard of a spiral motion earthquake so it sounds cool to me. Does it shake in a spiral like what you imply. This could really explain something because I miss feeling an earthquake years ago when I was attending middle school. I was inside my moms car along with my sister waiting for my mom to come out of the place she work and she came asking if we felt the ground shook. We didn't feel it yet it seem that most people have.

Well have a nice day and Happy Shark Week!
