How I imagine Frankenstein’s monster after reading the original novel by Mary Shelley.

In the book the monster is described as having beautiful, wavy black hair and ideally proportioned face and body. But it’s beauty is overshadowed by it’s pale eyes, black lips, wrinkled face, massive size and yellow, transparent skin. As far as I remember there is no mentioning of scars.
Not quite how Hollywood depicts him :XD:

The scene where Victor Frankenstein wakes up in the middle of the night to find the monster standing by his bed and looking at him, seriously creeped me out.

YES! I always wanted to see some non-hollywood fanart of the monster. After I read the original book I was like "Wow... I guess they kept the name the same at least."

Not just his appearance, but the fact that the monster is stronger and faster than a human (he's described at one point as running across a field "as fast as a hawk dives out of the sky.") And his intelligence, "It is with considerable difficulty I recall the original era of my being." I mean, except for his appearance, the monster is basically a superman (what it meant before the comic character.)

If I was to do a Frankenstein movie, I'd want the monster to look more like your version. The one liberty I might want to take would be the idea that, while Frankenstein was able to give the monster as a whole life, it's still made of dead tissue. So that, over the course of the story you see it decaying more and more. That gives some reason why it might flee into the north... the cold would act as a preservative.

You did a wonderful job at showing the muscles under the transparent skin! >w< I love it.
I kinda wanna snuggle him. :P
You looked at anatomy books for this, didn't yoooou? *Gives you so many points for the acurate muscle diagram*

Wide awake and all joy.

While on the cellphone with my dad having just gotten out of my car,
"My banana's stuck in the door!"
Very interesting! I never read the book, but I always suspected the Hollywood version was fudging a bit... By the way you win massive hi-fives for the muscles. =D

This is why I liked the version of Frankenstein with Luke Goss. He actually looked like how he is in the book.

Great interpretation!

I sold Snoopy the crack that killed him!
He looks cool, although a bit too cute and squishy. =P
I never had the opportunity to read the Mary Shelley novel, but it certainly is a departure from the heavily scarred, boxy-foredheaded Frankenstein monster we've been accustomed to. I like how you use soft colors. The eyes are haunting. Well done!
It creeped me out. If I'd been Vistor [Or Viktor, as it should be spelled in Swiss German] I probably would have shit my pants.

I think I prefer the book to any of the movies.
