Males lactating is not that strange. Human males often go though hormonal changes when their partner is pregnant and in this period the man can train his body to produce milk. Not enough to keep the baby alive on his own, but enough to keep the baby happy until mother gets back.

There is a rare species of bats where the males are suspected of breastfeeding their young because they produce enough milk to do so, but so far no one has been able to get to their living areas to see if they do.
