Raising Children by humon Raising Children by humon
First Christiania and Denmark. They have a difficult relationship, yet deep down they love each other. Christiania is referring to Sister Australia as a gold-digger because when Denmark and her are together they represent the royal family, which the Christianians are against.

Scania (Skåne) and Sweden. Sweden spends a lot of time correcting Scania, making fun of the way he talks, and threatening to send him back to Denmark. Scania is still reluctant to leave him though, as he still like his uncle but refuse to admit it.

Norway and Kven. Norway is not deliberately ignoring Kven, he just sort of keep forgetting that he’s there, so Kven spends a lot of time doing his own thing (The Kven People are people from Finland who migrated to Norway hundred of years ago, and is considered a ethnic minority with it’s own language).

Finland and FennoSwede. Finland is just thinking what we’re all thinking around children...

Iceland doesn't have any children.

If Iceland´s children had lived, they would be grown up.  The first Icelanders were from Norway, so Iceland is (sort of) Norway´s grownup child (or younger brother)

As an answer to your first question. It is kinda hard to explain, many of us Finns hate Sweden. (the language more than the country these days apparently)

The reason why especially the younger generations hate Sweden is because that one of the main reasons to the fact that all Finnish students must learn to speak swedish, is the FennoSwedes living here. The other reason goes back to the past by a great deal. And this leads to Finland's reaction to the sight of FennoSwede. Though the whole hatred thingy was not caused by the requirement of learning swedish.

Hope this sheds some light in the question. Cheers! ^^

Actually, Finns don't hate Sweden as much as they dislike SwedISH. The language is generally considered to be "unnecessary" to learn.

That I actually am not a hundred percent certain of. I recall it had something to do with the war we had against the soviet union. But again, I am unsure.

But that was like 400 years ago, we Americans have forgiven Britain for the intolerable acts. We've forgiven Canada for being two faced in the war of 1812. We have forgiven Japan for Pearl Harbor. Isn't it time to forgive Sweden for not having the money or resources to help you guys? I understand if you still feel hurt by it. But this is just my opinion

Yes my opinion on the whole hatred is that I don't give a damn about it. I think it is past as well.
Again though, I cannot recall perfectly why we are angered. Though the anger isn't something such as violence, we just don't like Swedish folk that much.

The thing about what happened in the war. Sweden not helping could be demonstrated with a big brother stabbing his younger sibling in the back by not helping. (Only if they did no help, alas I cannot remember that part of our history :L) See, Sweden used to rule over Finland before the war. The fact that they did nothing to help (once again I cannot remember) may have easily been the thing that broke the back of the camel so to speak.
I think it may have been more personal between Sweden and our little lake filled piece of land.

Humon? (or anybody), I have a question regarding Sweden and Scania. In an earlier comic, the one where Sweden found out that the father of Scania is Denmark, Sweden tells Scania that his father died in a horrible car accident. But here Sweden treatens Scania to kick him back to Denmark, and Scania doesn't seem suprised at all about that remark.

So did Sister Sweden tell Scania who his father was, or did Scania find that out all by himself? (or did Denmark itself told his 'son' the truth)
