You are so right... and i'm damn annoyed by the fact that two girls kissing is so popular and cool, and two boys even getting into a 'strange' situation is always followed by 'oh my GOD EWWW'...
And i'm interested in the 'women watching men' variante... seems like I didn't come across that until now :)

"Women watching men" is still very rare, but it pops up now and then. We got a quick glimpse of it in Run, Fat Boy, Run and I remember wathing some TV series where the wife showed an interest in watching her husband with another man (sadly the other man wasn't interested).
