Inspired by this drawing [link] by :iconrondell:

South America is not North America’s invisible friend here. The Scandinavian boys just can't see him, just like North America can't see Denmark. :D

Few people in America know what Denmark is and surprisingly many sees Norway as the same thing as Sweden, which sounds ridicules to us over here, but I can guarantee you that if you asked random people on the streets of Scandinavia what all that land underneath America is, too many would either say “I don’t know” “Isn’t it all America?” or “Mexico?”. Or they would know it was South America, but have no idea what the countries within it was called. We know shit about South America.

And I put a link on the comic this time as many people have requested.

This is funny, but also reminds me of a conversation I heard when I was in History. One of my fellow classmates was very upset when she couldn't find the North Pole. Then found Mexico, and was very surprised that what she though was Mexico turned out to be South America. And what she thought was part of Texas was actually Mexico.

North America is a land mass Mexico is part of North America, just under the USA. the South America is another land mass. There is only a narrow Straight Separating the two.

Poor Central America. And even us from South America don't really know much about Central America, and even less from Scandinavia, and I knew about Denmark (just not tha he is flat as a board :) ).
I'm learning all from this comic. lol

But I know all the differences and which country is which... And I'm 13... I am definitely NOT proud to be American when I learn how stupid and closed-minded the majority of the populous is... F*ck my life.

Hey, don't worry. There are a lot of great things about America too. It's a global superpower that a lot of countries go to when they need help. A lot of people see it as a nice safe place with a stable economy, and we know stereotypes usually aren't true and never apply to everyone. And there are a lot of good smart people like you who know the differences between countries. :) This is just comedy, so don't worry too much about it. This is coming from a Norwegian.

I know this much, I'm just talking about the ignorant population in general. Yes, there are good people in this country, but the majority here are those YOLO, skanky, swagger, mainstream grease smudges on this world that cause nothing but embarrassment to everyone else who are actually intelligent and modest. I just abhor those vermin that give America such a bad name...

Ah, I know what you mean about the idiots in America. But honestly, there are idiots everywhere (I've seen drunk people passed out on the streets anywhere I've ever gone). There's no escape from them :XD:. Not much we can do about them either, but it's good to know that there are great people in America like you as well. I'm just saying try not to stress too much over it.
