Inspired by this drawing [link] by :iconrondell:

South America is not North America’s invisible friend here. The Scandinavian boys just can't see him, just like North America can't see Denmark. :D

Few people in America know what Denmark is and surprisingly many sees Norway as the same thing as Sweden, which sounds ridicules to us over here, but I can guarantee you that if you asked random people on the streets of Scandinavia what all that land underneath America is, too many would either say “I don’t know” “Isn’t it all America?” or “Mexico?”. Or they would know it was South America, but have no idea what the countries within it was called. We know shit about South America.

And I put a link on the comic this time as many people have requested.

By the way, EEUU does see part of South America, But not entirely, only Colombia and Brasil, who are important part of it's Foreing Policy. The rest is Mexico and the Caribean, wich is closest. And you might say you know shit about south america, but if you do, you'll knew we don't like to be put together, cos we don't like each other very much. :

It would have been funnier if there were a bunch of them behind america, not just the whole continent.

Yup, we Americans are really bad with geography xD It took me a long time to differentiate the Nordic countries! I thought Iceland was the Faroe Islands for the longest time, and I thought Denmark was part of Germany xD But now I'm an expert in geography, and I could pretty much point out every country on the map :)

My best friend thought Denmark was a city. It took two days and our social studies teacher to convince her that Denmark is a country. She still says it's a city every now and then.

There's a town in Western Australia called Denmark. It's pretty popular as a place to go to for the long weekends or a short holiday but if someone says 'I'm going to Denmark for a month or two.' You have to clarify it's the country. I find it quite amusing.
