Got any stories from the news that could be explained but are still somewhat mysterious? Stories like:

A few years ago I was watching the news when they said a man had been driving on a dark lonely road out in the country when he suddenly ran over a person on the road. He called the hospital, but when the ambulance got there it turned out the man had been dead for a while. The car's wheels hadn't hit anything vital and nothing on the man's body suggested he had been murdered.

Another time the news told of a Danish man who had disappeared. The police had been looking for him for only a few days when they got a call from Canada. Some Canadian hikers had found the man in the mountains, dead. He was wearing normal everyday clothes, his house keys and wallet in his pockets. He even had his car key despite the car still being back in Denmark.

Both stories could be explained. Maybe the man on the road had a heart attack. Maybe the guy in the mountains wanted to die and chose the Canadian mountains as his final place. But they still have an air of mystery to them and it wouldn't take much to create a supernatural story around them.

So got any stories like that from your local news?

Holy shit, this reminds me of the "ghost cat" that was at my grandma's.

Okay, it's really fucking obvious that I am a crazy cat lady. Ever since I was five, really. When I was six, I had to move from the house from the city to my grandma's house IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING WOODS ON TOP OF BUZZARD MOUNTAIN. (Highway N. South-East Missourians know what kind of driving hell I'm talking about.) My grandma had five cats: Fluffy, Miss Kitty (meanest bitch-cat in history), Snickers, Charmin, and Sugar. I played with all of them (excluding Miss Kitty) night and day, in and outside. One day, it was getting very late, and I was playing with Charmin. I begged my mamma to let me stay outside just a little longer, and she complied, BUT I had to stay in the front yard in the porch light, and I had to come in when I was told to. No buts, no complaining. I was very grateful for it.

Some three minutes past and Charmin started to get tired of me and decided to go away. I wanted to go after her, but I made a promise. After thinking it over a little bit, I ran after Charmin to pick her up and bring her back to the good bench in the front yard. Instinctively, she ran off. I chased. I chased her until I got to the scrap heap and I lost her. And that's when I saw the kitty. It was a white female with very pretty eyes and a black nose, and she seemed to be glowing from the light in the distance (I nicknamed her Snowball in my mind.). Something caught my eye. She was hurt very badly on her side, and she was meowing like as if she was hurt. I wanted to help her (somehow), so I walked over to her, but she ran around the pile before I could get very close. I ran around the pile as fast as I could, and there is a clearing behind the pile. I didn't see her. I didn't want my ass kicked, so I shrugged it off and I ran inside.

The next day, I asked Grandma if she had a white kitty. She told me that she hadn't had a white kitty for fifteen years. When I asked her what happened, she told me that a coyote killed her. I was a little scared, so I asked her what the kitty's name was. Her name was Snowball. I wanted to tell her about the injured cat, but I didn't. I was pretty damn scared.

That's not the scary part. The scary part is that all of her cats DIED at different times FROM A COYOTE. (Except Miss Kitty and Fluffy. They were sixteen.) Now she has five new cats: Elmer, Silver, Smokey, Dotty, and the newest member Mewsette (inside kitty) She has lost eight cats to a coyote since I saw the white cat. She never lost any cats to a coyote before I saw Snowball. I have never seen the cat again.

I'm fucking terrified. :iconscaredplz:

i have a story as well.
when i was Little, strange people used to visit me at night. they would stand in front of my bed before they disapered, they were kind of walking in slowmotion but I could heir the stes they took at normal speed so the movements did not fit the sound at all wich made it even more scary. they were often pretty gray in color and they had white eyes. I told my mother about it and she took me to some lady who was supposed to help me closing my visions. After I visited the lady I never saw them again.

Hmm... Well I once accidently invited a spirit home with me, ((though it was male)) and since then, there's this girl with brown hair that just stands in my hallway. I can't seem to rid myself of her... She doesn't do anything really, and she's not hurting anyone, but I always get this uneasy feeling, and HATE using the bathroom in the middle of the night now, because of that... I think she's my sister but she might not be

And now I can't get up and go to the bathroom because I'm too freaked >.<"

Well, I have some weird stories to tell that I've experienced myself.

It was some years ago now, but I remember everything clearly. One day, in the middle of the day actually, I heard a child run behind me in the corridor my room is by. I don't have any pets, no siblings and my parents where not home. I opened the door and looked out, and of course there was nothing there. I got confused at first but when I didn't hear anything else in some hour I sort of forgot about it.
Some days later though, I was just going to sleep when I heard it again, this time with the door open. Tiny, fast running, right outside the door. I heard a little giggle and heavy breathing mixed with it, but the scariest thing about it that made me freeze to ice was that I could actually feel the vibrations from the steps in my body. And I could hear it, too. Just seconds later I flew up out of my bed and ran to my parents bedroom, just to find them sleeping.
The next morning I questioned them about it, if they had been to the toilet (which isn't really near the corridor, but maybe I just heard it like that). But they hadn't.

Nothing happened the days after that. Nothing happened the following months. But half a year later, it happened again.

In the middle of the night, I went to grab something to drink. Got out of my room, walked past the corridor, past the toilet (saw something flickering in the corner of my eye, but didn't bother), past my parents bedroom and to the kitchen. I drank some water and then went back again. But something made me look around and look right beside the door that leads into the toilet, by the stairs. And there it was.
A little girl, maybe 3-4 years old in complete monochrome, sat there and held two of the splints that goes around the stairs in a tight grip. Her skin was gray, she had a nightgown that was in a darker shade of gray, and her hair was almost black. But her eyes where almost white, staring right in front of here. No irises, no nothing. Just like two white glowing dots in the middle of her face. But I didn't do anything. I just thought "Oh well, a little girl" in all my sleepy state and went back to bed. The next day I was devastated for what I'd seen, and almost refused going to the toilet at all.

But after that, she dissapeared. Gone like she had never been here. I still think about her and I am scared of those splints by the toiletdoor.

I have to go to the store but i can't stop reading all the comments!!

I have a story of my own as well, and since everyone else is sharing, i might as well.

When my son was just 1 and just starting to walk, he had fallen asleep on the couch. so i tucked some pillows around him so he wouldnt fall off and covered him with a blanket. My husband and i went into the rec room so that we could continue watching tv and not disturb him. the rec room has a old sliding door that doesn't close all the way, and on the other side of it is the kitchen and we leave the stove light on. For some reason, while were watching tv, i look over at the door and a few seconds later i see a Shadowed figure about my sons height walk passed the crack in the door. Thinking its my son peeping in on us i elbow my husband and point to the door. He sees the shadow of the feet under the door and nods at me. he gets up to go tell our son to go back to sleep and the shadow walks away. he goes out and when he comes back in he tells me that our son is passed out still tucked up in the pillows and blanket.

A few days after that my mom is over and my husband, myself and our son run to the store quickly. I get a call from my mom at my place. She asks if left my son home, sounding a little shaken up. I tell her we just ran out quickly and ask her whats wrong. She told me that she thought she heard him laughing and playing in the rec room but when she went to go check on him he wasn't there. At the point in time we had no kids in our neighborhood.

I think someone was just happy to have a friend around.

A couple days ago I heard a story from my sister that she in turn heard from a Native American friend of hers (I believe he's Ho-Chunk). He said that one of their beliefs is that children will play with spirits in the dark, but if they play with the spirits for too long, they'll try to take the child back to the spirit world with them. Well, his cousin's parents told said cousin to go to the basement to play with the spirits for awhile. A little while later they realized they hadn't heard any sound from the basement, so they went to check on him. The cousin was gone--they checked all around the house, then all around the neighborhood, etc, but there wasn't any trace of him. It's been years since this happened, but they still don't know what happened to him.

It's definitely a strange story. Very sad, though :C

hei humon

angående den historien om dansken i kanada; hver gang jeg hører på nyhetene at noen har dødd i fjellet i her norge, er det alltid en eller annen dansk turist som ikke vet å respektere fjellet ;)

Oh! and ghostcat! A friend and i were doing a voice recording and upon playback there was a pause and a random 'meow'. There have been so many times at her house when i've thought her cat was walking around but he has been in another room....
